If you are currently preparing or finalizing a South African visa or permit application, please take note of an upcoming administrative update from VFS Global.

Effective 22 June 2026, VFS is introducing a revised baseline service fee of ZAR 1,750 (inclusive of taxes). This updated rate will apply uniformly across all application categories where a VFS service fee is charged.

⏱️ Critical Deadlines & System Changes

To help you manage your application timelines and budgets effectively, here is how the transition will be handled by VFS:

  • Before 22 June 2026: Any application payments successfully processed and completed before this date will remain entirely unaffected by the price change.

  • On/After 22 June 2026: The VFS online booking and payment portal will automatically update to reflect the new ZAR 1,750 fee.

  • Scope of Increase: The adjustment is a blanket update across all visa and permit categories that require a standard VFS service fee.
